Weather information

Like the whole of Southeast Asia, Koh Chang has only two seasons. A warm and wet season from June to October, and a warm and dry season from November until May. Peak season lasts from December until March, when rain is very scarce and the temperatures rise commonly not over 30 degrees Celsius. Precipitation peaks out in August, when the average rainfall is 700 mm/sqm.

Tranquility and price reductions for all island accommodations during the green season (rainy or monsoon season) attract a special blend of holiday seekers. Budgets stretch further and the sun doesn’t hide away permanently. Occasional showers are warm and bring out the flowers and add substance to the picturesque waterfalls.
